Bio:

Kipp Weiskopf, M.D., Ph.D is a clinical fellow in Hematology and Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. He earned his medical and graduate degrees at Stanford University in the Medical Scientist Training Program. As a member of the laboratory of Irving Weissman, M.D., he characterized the CD47/SIRPα interaction as a myeloid immune checkpoint. He developed novel therapeutics that block the CD47/SIRPα axis and stimulate macrophage phagocytosis of cancer cells, particularly when combined with tumor-opsonizing antibodies. Weiskopf is a co-Founder of ALX Oncology, and technology he developed has been licensed to Forty Seven, Inc.
